If you have received a notice that your backflow prevention device needs to be tested and certified, it is
usually a very simple process to get this taken care of. I will come out to the location of the device(s) to be tested at a time
that is convenient for you. For a landscaping test, your water will stay on at the building. There is very little
down time for water at your building, if your water must be turned off at the location for tests on devices that
protect buildings from backflow. It can be for less than ten minutes!
If your device needs to be taken apart and cleaned, there will be no extra charge for this service.
I will reassemble and retest the device. I carry a good supply of gaskets and washers should we need
to refresh your device and these parts are generally inexpensive. I use only certified device testing equipment. I report the results to your
local water agency for you and will provide you a copy for your records.
You can rest assured not only that your test will be performed efficiently and results are promptly
certified, but in knowing that you have chosen an experienced backflow device tester. I have been certified
by the AWWA for many years for backflow testing. I have depth of experience from my career in fresh water
treatment for a municipality in the Sierra Foothills, from which I retired. I am a Federal volunteer for the Monterey Bay National Marine
Sanctuary, in their Urban Watch and First Flush stormdrain water testing programs.
I have come to the coast to fulfill my dream of returning to a place by the beautiful sea where I grew up.
That wasn’t very far from here, just up the coast in Half Moon Bay. I established this local backflow device
company here on the Monterey Peninsula in 2009. Steadily I have grown and am now testing quite a few local devices
for businesses and homes. I continue to test backflow devices for my longtime clients as well. I have plenty of happy repeat
